GIIS KL Celebrates Hari Raya with a Joyous Assembly

The spirit of Hari Raya filled the air at Global Indian International School, KL recently, as the school hosted a special assembly. The theme of the day was all about celebrating joy, forgiveness, and togetherness, values that beautifully resonate with the festive spirit of Hari Raya. 
 
The assembly kicked off with a vibrant instrumental piece,&nbsp;titled &quot;Suasana di Hari Raya &#39;&#39; (Raya Ambience), performed by the talented students of&nbsp;grades 10 and 12. The melodious tunes set the perfect stage for the event, transporting everyone to a world of festive cheer. Following the instrumental performance, the adorable singers from classes 5 and 6 took center stage, their harmonious choir singing &ldquo;Balik Kampung&rdquo; (Returning to Hometown) filling the school field with their sweet voices.

Raghul Meshan Kathavaran, then delivered a thoughtful speech, sharing the significance of Hari Raya and its traditions. The assembly wouldn&#39;t have been complete without a dazzling display of costumes! Our Cambridge students proudly showcased their festive attire, adding a touch of cultural flair to the occasion.

But the celebrations didn&#39;t stop there! The highlight of the assembly was a charismatic dance performance by our&nbsp;class 10 students. Their energetic rendition of &quot;Tarian Anugerah Aidilfitri&quot; (Aidilfitri Celebration Dance) had the audience captivated by their moves and enthusiasm.

The event aligned perfectly with GIIS&#39;s 9 Gems Holistic Education Framework, particularly Gem 7 (Universal Values and Ethics).
